The Preposition
(संबंधसूचक शब्द)
Preposition का प्रयोग किसी Noun अथवा Pronoun के पहले होता है जिससे यह पता चलता है कि दूसरे noun या pronoun के साथ किस प्रकार का संबंध है।
उदाहरण के रूप में :-
1. I write with pen. ✍
2. A snake was killed by me. 🐍
3. The stick fell from the hand. 🏑
1. प्रथम वाक्य में 'I' pronoun है जबकि 'pen' noun है दोनों के बीच संबंध व्यक्त करने के लिए 'with' का प्रयोग किया गया है जो एक preposition है।
2. दूसरे वाक्य में 'by' preposition का प्रयोग 'snake'तथा 'me' के संबंध को स्पष्ट करने के लिए हुआ है।
3. तीसरे वाक्य में 'from' का प्रयोग 'stick' और 'hand' के संबंध को बताने के लिए किया गया है।

At, by, in, in, to, for, from, up, with, of, on, off, through, till, etc.
2. Compound Prepositions

From behind, outside of, from out, from beneath, out of, etc.
4. Participle Prepositions
notwithstanding, pending, concerning, consedring
5. Phrase Prepositions
by means of, because of, on account of, with a view to, in opposition to, with regard to, for the sake of, in the event of, on instead of etc.
